Tourists planning to visit popular monsoon destinations in Rajgad taluka are advised to reconsider their plans, as authorities have imposed a ban on tourism in several key areas due to heavy rainfall and safety concerns. The tourist ban will remain in effect from June 22 to September 30, 2025.

Tourist Hotspots Affected

The affected locations include:

  • Rajgad Fort

  • Torna Fort

  • Madhe Ghat

  • Panshet, Varasgaon, and Gunjawani Dam areas

The decision was taken in response to intense monsoon showers and dense fog in the region, which have significantly increased the risk of accidents.

Authorities have cited slippery trails, narrow paths, rockfall threats, and gushing waterfalls as serious hazards to public safety. To prevent accidents and ensure the safety of visitors, the Bhor Sub-Divisional Officer, Dr. Vikas Sarat, issued an official order prohibiting tourism in the region during the monsoon season.

Warning signs have already been erected at key entry points, and the administration has warned of strict action against individuals found violating the ban.
