(Rain Update) Rain is set to become active again in Maharashtra. A warning of heavy rain has been issued for several districts in the state from September 27 to September 30, 2025. The State Emergency Operations Center has issued instructions to all district administrations in anticipation of potential heavy rainfall.
Due to the heavy rainfall occurring over the past few days, it is observed that farmers in many parts of the state have suffered immense losses. Flood conditions have arisen in many villages, disrupting daily life. Heavy rain is forecasted in the state today.
A red alert has been issued for Mumbai, Thane, Raigad, and Palghar, with heavy rain expected in Mumbai today, raising the possibility of waterlogging in low-lying areas. Following the heavy rain warning, the municipal corporation and administration have instructed the systems to remain alert.
In the wake of continuous rain, the entire machinery of the Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation is actively working on the ground. The corporation has appealed to citizens not to believe in any rumors and to step out of their homes only if absolutely necessary. In case of an emergency, it has been advised to contact the number 1916 for immediate assistance.
