(Sandip Joshi) BJP's Legislative Council member Sandip Joshi has decided to retire from politics. He has written a letter saying, 'I want to stop now.' He mentioned in the letter, 'The decision to write this letter was not taken lightly. Politics has always been a path of social service and loyalty for me, different from position or prestige. However, today the party-switching, opportunism, and increased competition for power are unsettling not only the common voters but also the loyal workers. The fact is that no one is ready to stop due to limited opportunities and increased expectations. Even today, I consider myself an ordinary worker of the BJP, but seeing this picture, the thought of stopping myself has become firm in my mind, and I am expressing that decision through this letter. I am now 55 years old. It is also necessary to vacate my position and let the young blood come forward. Therefore, after thorough consideration, I am putting a full stop to my future political journey. I am aware that the party has made me great. Therefore, I am announcing this decision today, apologizing to the top leadership of this party, Hon. Nitinji Gadkari, and the state's Chief Minister Hon. Devendraji Fadnavis.'

'My term as a member of the Legislative Council, that is, as an MLA, is coming to an end on May 13. I will fulfill this term understanding it as a responsibility given by the party. I will carry out all the constitutional, moral, and public duties as an MLA with full responsibility. After May 13, I will not ask the party for the MLA position, and even if the party offers it, I will humbly decline it, and it should be given to an ordinary, young worker or the person the party decides. After May 13, I have decided to retire completely from active politics. This decision is not made out of any momentary emotion but after deep consideration. Henceforth, I will live as an ordinary social worker and continue to serve and work for the common people. I am fully aware that this decision to retire from politics is shocking for my family, my loving friends, and the party workers. I sincerely apologize to all of them and humbly announce this decision. Politics was just a means in my life. Through this medium, I got the opportunity to fulfill various responsibilities in the social, cultural, and sports fields. However, this work will continue uninterrupted, such as the 'Saath Palakatva Project' for sisters who became single parents during the Corona period, the 'Deendayal Thali Project' for relatives of patients coming to Nagpur for treatment, the Goseva Project at Mohgaon Zilpi, the Gangadharrao Fadnavis Memorial Diagnostic Center through the Shri Siddhivinayak Seva Foundation, these social projects, Maharashtra Olympic Association, Maharashtra State Basketball Association, Maharashtra State Amateur Hockey Association, Maharashtra Wrestling Association, Nagpur Body Building Association, MP Sports Festival, I will do justice to these various positions in the sports field, and I will stand with young players and encourage them.'

Along with this, they further stated, 'Time waits for no one. It keeps moving forward. However, some moments from that time shake us from within. The decision made at that moment keeps us honest with ourselves. If not for others, at least if we can do justice to ourselves, then life becomes meaningful, this is my firm belief. And that is the decision I have made today. After family, the Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh instilled values in me. It shaped me, and the party placed trust in me, giving me many opportunities in politics. This ordinary worker was honored with responsibilities like being a councilor four times, standing committee chairman, mayor, and member of the legislative council. For this, I will always be indebted to the Bharatiya Janata Party and the top leadership. I am confident that if I stay in politics, I will get opportunities in the future as well. Because only in BJP is it possible for an ordinary worker to become the Prime Minister of the country, I say this with pride. However, it is my sincere opinion that no ordinary worker should be wronged because of my presence. And nothing will be hindered by my absence, this is the ultimate truth. Therefore, without saying much more, I am making this decision today. I am not saving the chair, I am saving the value, I am not choosing noise, I am choosing peace. I have stepped back so that someone else's path can be illuminated.' This is what they mentioned in the letter.
