A shocking incident occurred at the Ghrishneshwar Jyotirlinga Temple today, where some devotees who came for darshan on the occasion of Shravan Monday severely assaulted a temple servant. It is reported that the devotees were enraged and assaulted the servant after being denied entry through the closed temple gate.
According to the information received, the devotees insisted on being allowed entry through the closed doors of the temple. However, when the server clearly refused as per the rules, the angry devotees attacked him. This incident of assault was captured in the CCTV cameras in the temple premises, where it is clearly seen that the devotees are pushing and kicking the server.
After the incident, the server was immediately moved for medical treatment. The administration has stated that his condition is stable. Meanwhile, the temple administration has condemned the incident and filed a complaint at the local police station for legal action against the concerned devotees.
The police are now working to identify the accused based on CCTV footage. The issue of security in the temple area has once again come to the forefront, and the administration has indicated that security measures will be tightened to prevent such incidents in the future.
