(Ratnagiri) The election frenzy for district councils and panchayat samitis has begun, with the voting process for 12 district councils and 125 panchayat samitis in the state to be held on February 5.
The result of this election will be announced on February 7. Yesterday was the last date for filing nominations for this. Against this backdrop, all political parties have started preparing for the Zilla Parishad and Panchayat Samiti elections, and now the Shiv Sena of the state's Deputy Chief Minister Eknath Shinde has opened its first account in the state.
The first candidate of Shiv Sena in Ratnagiri has been elected unopposed, and Dr. Padmaja Kamble has been elected unopposed from Nanij Panchayat Samiti. On the last day of filing nominations, no candidate other than Kamble filed a nomination. Therefore, as only Padmaja Kamble's nomination was received, she was elected unopposed.
