Today is the first Monday of Shravan. On the first Monday, a large crowd of devotees was seen at all Shiva temples in the state. Especially at the Ghrishneshwar Jyotirlinga Temple in Verul, devotees gathered in large numbers for darshan from the night. 'Ghrishneshwar' is considered the last and most important of the 12 Jyotirlingas. Therefore, every year during the month of Shravan, millions of devotees come here for darshan. This year too, on the first Monday of Shravan, the enthusiasm of devotees was evident in the temple premises from early morning with chants of “Har Har Mahadev”.
Considering the increasing number of devotees, the temple trust board has implemented necessary measures such as queues for darshan, drinking water facilities, and medical aid centers. Additionally, the police administration has maintained strict security, deploying extra personnel in the temple area.
Volunteers are also actively serving to ensure devotees face no difficulties, creating a disciplined and safe environment throughout the area. Information has been provided that the administration has made necessary preparations.
