In a heart-wrenching incident that has sent shockwaves through Solapur, a married woman allegedly took her own life after enduring years of harassment by her in-laws. The incident took place in Chincholikati village in the Mohol taluka of Solapur district, just days after a similar tragedy was reported in Pune.

The woman, whose identity has not yet been officially disclosed, was reportedly under extreme mental and physical distress caused by persistent demands from her in-laws. According to her grieving relatives, she was repeatedly harassed for money and a four-wheeler vehicle. The family claims that the abuse had continued unabated for the past three years.

Disturbingly, the woman is said to have been pregnant with her second child and is also survived by a young daughter. Her relatives have cast serious doubts over the nature of her death, suggesting the possibility of foul play and alleging that she may have been murdered.

The Mohol police have taken cognizance of the case and arrested the woman's husband, Pawan Bhosale. A formal case has also been registered against other members of the in-laws' family in connection with the incident.
