Air service to start from Solapur from October 15
Solapur-Mumbai, Solapur-Bangalore air service to commence
Travel on both routes will now be faster and easier
There is great news for the people of Solapur. From October 15, regular passenger air service will start from Solapur airport to both Mumbai and Bangalore routes. This facility will be historic in terms of Solapur's transportation.
While providing this information, Union Minister of State for Civil Aviation and Cooperation Muralidhar Mohol said that this airline will provide Solapur residents with fast and direct connectivity to Mumbai and Bengaluru, which are IT and industrial hubs in South India. This service will be extremely convenient for traders, students, entrepreneurs, and devotees.
For this initiative, 'Viability Gap Funding' has been approved with the consent of Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis. As a result, the path for the Solapur-Mumbai airline service has been cleared. Minister Mohol stated that direct air connectivity to a historic and industrial city like Solapur will boost investment, employment, and the tourism sector.
Meanwhile, local MLA Sachin Kalyanshetty, MLA Devendra Kothe, and District Collector Kumar Arshiwad have consistently pursued this airline service. The inauguration ceremony will be held on October 15 by Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis, during which both the Solapur-Mumbai and Solapur-Bangalore services will be launched.
According to this new service, the flight from Solapur to Mumbai will depart at 12:55 PM, and the return Mumbai-Solapur flight will be at 2:45 PM. Similarly, the flight from Bangalore to Solapur will depart at 11:10 AM, while the flight from Solapur to Bangalore will depart at 4:15 PM. This schedule will allow passengers to plan conveniently, making travel on both routes faster and easier.
