Senior Congress leader and former party president Sonia Gandhi was admitted to Sir Ganga Ram Hospital in Delhi on Sunday night after her health reportedly deteriorated. She has been hospitalized in the gastroenterology ward due to stomach-related issues.
In an official statement, the hospital confirmed that Sonia Gandhi is currently undergoing treatment and that her condition is stable. Doctors are closely monitoring her health and she remains under medical supervision.
This is the second such incident in recent days. Last week, during a visit to Shimla, Sonia Gandhi had also reported health concerns and was briefly admitted to Indira Gandhi Medical College Hospital for evaluation and care.
Sources close to the family indicate that Sonia Gandhi had been experiencing health discomfort for the past few days, prompting Sunday’s hospitalization for more thorough medical attention.
