Maharashtra’s Food and Civil Supplies Minister Chhagan Bhujbal has expressed his views on one of the most talked-about topics in the state’s political landscape — the potential reunification of the Thackeray brothers and the strengthening of the Pawar family alliance. In an exclusive conversation with Lokshahi Marathi, Minister Bhujbal addressed recent developments and speculation surrounding Maharashtra's leading political families. “The Pawars and Thackerays are the two most powerful families in state politics,” Bhujbal said, adding that unity among them could significantly shift the balance of power. The buzz around a possible reconciliation between Raj Thackeray and Uddhav Thackeray, along with renewed collaboration between Sharad Pawar and Ajit Pawar, has fueled discussions across political circles.
Bhujbal offered a direct and candid response, stating: “When one of our workers grows, we see it as the growth of our party. When someone enters a village representing our party, we take note. This is because every step forward strengthens the party.” He elaborated further, highlighting the individual influence both Thackeray brothers hold:
“Raj Thackeray has carved out his own path, and Uddhav Thackeray has proven himself as a leader too. If these two leaders come together, their strength will undoubtedly grow. We feel happy even when a simple worker joins us — and here, we are talking about two major leaders who are deeply loved by the people. Many old Shiv Sainiks still hope to see them united.” Bhujbal’s remarks reflect the growing curiosity and anticipation about possible alliances in Maharashtra politics, especially as the state gears up for upcoming electoral battles. His comments underscore the potential impact of such political unity on party dynamics and voter sentiment.
