In one of the biggest anti-narcotics operations in Maharashtra to date, police in Shrirampur have seized synthetic drugs worth approximately ₹14 crore. The raid was conducted in the MIDC area of Shrirampur, leading to the confiscation of a massive quantity of Alprazolam and the arrest of one individual.

Acting on a tip-off, police intercepted a tempo suspected to be carrying a drug consignment late Wednesday night. Upon inspection, 20 bags containing a significant quantity of Alprazolam were found inside the vehicle.

Authorities confirmed that the synthetic drug was being transported into the city, and the seizure marks the largest such bust in the state so far. One suspect has been taken into custody in connection with the case, and further investigation is underway to uncover the broader network involved.

Police officials stated that this operation highlights the growing challenge of synthetic drug trafficking in the region and assured continued vigilance against such illegal activities.
