(Electricity Employee Strike) A call for a strike has been made by the state electricity employees. From today, electricity employees have declared a statewide strike. It is reported that the employees have called this strike against the privatization and restructuring of electricity companies.

In this statewide strike, more than 125,000 employees, including about 86,000 electricity workers, engineers, officers, and 42,000 contract electricity workers from the state, will participate. These employees will go on strike for three days from today against the privatization of electricity companies, according to the Maharashtra State Electricity Workers, Engineers, and Officers Action Committee.

A statewide strike has been called to oppose the privatization and restructuring of electricity companies. It is anticipated that this strike will have a significant impact on the state's electricity supply.
