(Thane Metro) The first metro in Thane city is about to start soon. Against this backdrop, the metro trial will take place today, and Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis, Deputy Chief Minister Eknath Shinde, and Deputy Chief Minister Ajit Pawar will show the green flag for the Thane Metro trial run.
In the first phase, metro service will start on the 10.5-kilometer route from Cadbury Junction to Gaimukh. Thane Metro will have 10 stations in the city, allowing Thane residents to reach these stations from different parts of the city and catch the metro. A trial of the metro will be conducted between the four stations from Gaimukh to Vijaynagar.
Cadbury Junction, Majiwada, Kapurbawadi, Manpada, Tikuji-ni-wadi, Dongri Pada, Vijay Garden, Kasarvadavali, Ghavanpada, Gaimukh will be the metro stations. This will now relieve Thane residents from traffic congestion.
