Important notice for those traveling on the Mumbai-Pune Expressway. Traffic will be closed for one hour near Bhatan from 2 to 3 PM today. This arrangement on the Yashwantrao Chavan Expressway is for the repair of power lines and feeder installation by the Maharashtra State Electricity Distribution Company. The police have urged citizens to use alternative routes.

During this period, all types of traffic (light and heavy) on both lanes towards Pune and Mumbai between km 09.600 to 09.700 will be stopped. Additional Director General of Police (Traffic) Praveen Salunke has issued a notification under the provisions of the Motor Vehicles Act, and police teams are ready for traffic management. The road will reopen as soon as the work is completed, the administration has informed.

According to alternative routes, vehicles traveling from Mumbai to Pune will be diverted to National Highway No. 48 via Kalamboli Circle or Shedung Exit. Meanwhile, vehicles coming from Pune to Mumbai will be diverted to Highway No. 48 via Khopoli or Khalapur Toll Plaza. Officials have clarified that these measures may cause temporary inconvenience to travelers, but the decision has been made to avoid traffic congestion.
