(Karnataka Sugarcane Farmers Protest) Once again, the sugarcane price protest is flaring up in Karnataka. An incident has occurred where tractors were set on fire at the Bagalkot Sameerwadi Sugar Factory.
Prohibition orders have been imposed in four talukas. After the incident of tractors being set on fire at Sameerwadi Sugar Factory, the district administration has taken serious note and immediate action has been taken.
This order has been implemented under Section 164, and Sub-Divisional Officer Sangappa has taken this action. Preparations are being made to call additional police forces from Vijayapura and Belagavi districts, and prohibition orders have been imposed in Jamkhandi, Rabkavi, Banahatti, and Mudhol talukas.
Preparations are underway to deploy a large police force. Information has been received that discussions have been held with senior police officers regarding this incident.
