Due to pending court proceedings regarding some municipal councils, the voting process for nearly 20 municipal councils in the state had been postponed. In this context, a petition was filed in the High Court requesting that the results of all elections be announced on the same day. Against this backdrop, the Nagpur bench of the High Court has now delivered an important verdict.

The bench of the High Court has directed that the results of all municipal council and municipal panchayat elections be announced on the same day, i.e., December 21. After hearing all the arguments, the bench of the High Court has given this decision. Therefore, candidates will now have to wait for December 21.
