(Chhatrapati Sambhajinagar) In the Chittegaon area on Paithan Road in Chhatrapati Sambhajinagar district, a main pipeline with a diameter of 1200 mm suddenly burst on Saturday morning, causing a massive amount of water to be wasted. This pipeline is an important conduit supplying water to the city from the Jayakwadi Dam. As a result, there is a possibility of disruption in the city's water supply.

After the pipe burst, water jets were seen shooting up to 100 feet into the air with immense pressure.  As a result, traffic on Paithan Road came to a complete standstill and travelers were stranded. Locals immediately informed the administration about this. Despite the water shortage, millions of liters of water were wasted. This incident is considered extremely serious because Marathwada is currently facing a severe water crisis. The level of the Jayakwadi dam is alarming.

The municipal corporation's water department has rushed to the scene, and the water supply has been immediately shut off. Repair work is underway on a war footing, and efforts are being made to stop the leakage in the pipeline. However, the exact cause of the pipeline burst is still unclear.
Due to this incident, it is anticipated that the water supply to some areas, including the Chittegaon area, may be disrupted. The municipal administration has urged citizens to store water.
