A controversy has arisen after the Mumbai Municipal Corporation started removing pigeon houses in the city, and against this backdrop, a shocking incident has occurred in the Mira-Bhayandar area. An elderly citizen and his daughter were attacked for saying not to feed the pigeons.

This incident occurred on Sunday at the DB Ozone building near Thakur Mall in Mira Road. Mahendra Patel went to get milk in the morning and on his way back, he saw his neighbor Asha Vyas feeding pigeons. He requested her not to feed pigeons in front of the building. This led to an argument and abusive language ensued.

Hearing the commotion, Mahendra Patel's daughter Premal Patel came downstairs and intervened, asking Vyas the reason. Shortly thereafter, a person named Somesh Agnihotri arrived at the scene with two strangers. They attacked Premal Patel with an iron rod, while another strangled her, according to Premal's complaint. A case has been registered at Kashimira Police Station against Somesh Agnihotri, Asha Vyas, and two others.
