The year 2026 is going to be extremely important for Indian politics. In this year, assembly elections will be held in five states — West Bengal, Assam, Puducherry, Tamil Nadu, and Kerala. Against this backdrop, the BJP has rapidly begun working on its strategy, with Union Home Minister Amit Shah personally leading the charge.
At the end of December, Amit Shah will tour West Bengal, and from January 2025 onwards, he will spend two days each month in West Bengal, Assam, Tamil Nadu, and Kerala, holding organizational meetings, booth-level preparations, and interacting with workers. These tours will continue until the code of conduct comes into effect, and Shah will also hold discussions with allied parties.
In Bengal, after 2021, the BJP has focused especially on strengthening the organization. According to the party's new organizational plan, Bhupender Yadav has been appointed as the election in-charge, Biplab Deb as co-in-charge, and organizational ministers from six states have been appointed in five major divisions of Bengal. Additionally, six senior leaders will stay permanently in Bengal for the next five months. The BJP believes that this strategy will bring success to the party in the 2026 elections.
