BJP MLA Nitesh Rane, known for his outspoken and often controversial remarks, has once again stirred the political pot. While addressing a BJP rally in Dharashiv, Rane took a dig at the Shiv Sena, making remarks that quickly drew attention—and criticism.
“Everyone should remember that the Chief Minister from the Bharatiya Janata Party is like the father of all,” said Rane, in a statement that sparked political controversy. He went on to say, “No matter how much power someone displays or how much they dance around, Narendra Modi is the Prime Minister of this country, and Devendra Fadnavis is the real Chief Minister of Maharashtra.”
Rane’s comments have drawn strong reactions from opposition leaders, who accuse him of undermining the coalition spirit within the ruling Mahayuti alliance.
Interestingly, criticism hasn’t just come from political rivals. His own elder brother, Nilesh Rane, has taken to social media to issue a subtle but firm caution. In a post that is now widely shared, Nilesh wrote:
“Nitesh should speak carefully. I didn’t say anything when I met him, but we must speak with full awareness of the implications. It’s easy to talk on stage, but we must understand who is actually benefitting from our words. We cannot forget that we are part of the Mahayuti.”
The elder Rane’s comments have fueled speculation about internal tensions and differing approaches within the political family. Social media is now abuzz with reactions to both brothers’ statements, with many interpreting Nilesh's post as a public attempt to rein in his younger sibling's fiery rhetoric.
As the Mahayuti alliance prepares for crucial elections in the coming months, the Rane brothers’ exchange highlights the delicate balancing act required to maintain unity among diverse voices in the coalition.
