In the absence of Ayush Mhatre, Vaibhav Suryavanshi led the Under-19 Team India to a good start by winning the first match in the 3-match ODI series against South Africa. Although Vaibhav did not achieve the expected success in batting in the first match, a world record was registered in his name. Now, in the second match, Vaibhav has shown tremendous leadership as a captain.
Before the second match, Vaibhav made an important change in the playing eleven. Kishan Singh was given a chance in place of Henil Patel, who was included in the first match. This decision by Vaibhav proved to be decisive. Kishan excelled in his bowling, justifying the captain's trust.
South Africa won the toss and chose to bat. Their opening pair did not lose a wicket until they reached 35 runs. However, Kishan Singh then launched an attack on the top order. He took 3 wickets for 22 runs, pushing South Africa onto the back foot.
Kishan first dismissed Adnan, then struck Jorich in the second over. After the opening pair was packed up, Kishan took the wicket of South Africa's captain, reducing the score from 35-0 to 57-3. This performance by Vaibhav has given India an upper hand in the match. The third match in the series will be held soon, where more brilliance is expected from Vaibhav.
