Saina and Kashyap have known each other since the beginning of their badminton careers. Both trained at the same place, the Pullela Gopichand Badminton Academy in Hyderabad. During training, they became friends, and gradually this friendship turned into love. After about ten years of relationship, they got married on December 14, 2018.

We are both seeking peace, success, and stability for ourselves and each other. I am grateful for the beautiful memories from this journey and wish the best for the future."
After seven years of marital life, this decision has shocked their fans. Notably, there is not a single photo of Kashyap on Saina's Instagram now, while on the other hand, photos and videos with Saina are still visible on Kashyap's profile.
