In the second T-20 match between India and Australia at the Melbourne Cricket Ground, Australia achieved a strong batting performance to defeat India by 4 wickets. Batting first, India scored only 125 runs in 20 overs. The Indian batsmen could not withstand the Australian bowlers. Ultimately, Australia reached the target in just 13.2 overs and won by 4 wickets. This time, three mistakes by India were the reasons for their defeat.

India's first mistake was making changes in the batting order. Suryakumar Yadav was batting at the third position as planned. However, this time Sanju Samson was promoted to the third position. Similarly, Shivam Dube was promoted to the eighth position. On the other hand, Tilak Varma, who was scoring runs at an average of 55 and 62 at the third and fourth positions respectively, was promoted to the fifth position. As a result, Team India's batting was seen to collapse.

The second mistake was not allowing Axar Patel to bowl. He is a fast bowler. Apart from Jasprit Bumrah and Varun Chakravarthy, he should have also been given a chance. This would have made it easier for Team India to put pressure on the Australian batsmen.

Along with that, the third and final mistake was that only 4 runs were scored in Bumrah's first over. Harshit Rana gave only 7 runs in the second over, but Marsh and Head gained confidence in middling the ball against him, making it easier for them to target Bumrah. Bumrah swung the ball by several degrees in his first over.
