The International Cricket Council (ICC) has officially announced the schedule for the ICC Women's World Cup 2025, promising an exciting series of matches, including a high-stakes encounter between India and Pakistan. The tournament will kick off on September 30 and conclude with the final on November 2. The World Cup is set to be jointly hosted by India and Sri Lanka, with matches being held in five cities: Bengaluru, Indore, Visakhapatnam (Vizag), Colombo, and Guwahati. The tournament will follow a round-robin format, with 28 group-stage matches and two semi-finals leading up to the final.
After the recent Pahalgam attack, there were doubts about whether an India-Pakistan match would take place. However, BCCI Secretary has now confirmed that the iconic clash will happen. Due to security and diplomatic protocols, all of Pakistan’s matches, including the India-Pakistan game, will be played at R. Premadasa Stadium, Colombo. The much-anticipated India vs Pakistan match is scheduled for October 5, and is expected to draw massive global viewership.
Since India holds primary hosting rights, the majority of matches—including India's opening and closing group stage fixtures—will be played in Indian venues. This offers Indian fans the opportunity to watch their favorite stars live in action.
