Addressing a press conference, Thackeray criticized the administration for its failure to prepare the city for the monsoon, despite repeated warnings. “Why is there so much hatred towards Mumbai in the BJP’s mind?” he questioned, pointing to the inconvenience and distress faced by residents across the city.

Thackeray particularly highlighted the poor condition of the Worli station of Mumbai Metro Line 3, which he described as "dilapidated" following the rains. He further raised concerns over inadequate road maintenance, ineffective drainage systems, and the lack of proper desilting efforts.

“Despite having ample time to prepare, the administration has once again failed Mumbaikars,” Thackeray said, demanding accountability from both the state government and the Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation (BMC).

With the monsoon just beginning, the incident has sparked renewed debate over urban infrastructure, planning, and political responsibility in India’s financial capital.
