The entire country is watching the upcoming assembly elections in Bihar. A survey conducted by Pune-based Rudra Research and Analytics has revealed the voters' sentiments in Bihar. The survey had accurately predicted the exit polls in Maharashtra for the 2024 Lok Sabha elections. According to the survey methodology, more than 15,000 voters were interviewed. In this, 56 percent of voters were satisfied with the performance of the Modi and Nitish governments and 42 percent were satisfied with the Nitish Kumar government. There was also dissatisfaction with both the governments due to unemployment and migration issues.
Tejashwi Yadav, Nitish Kumar, Chirag Paswan and Prashant Kishor have been preferred by the voters as Chief Ministers. Tejashwi Yadav is especially influential among young voters, while Nitish Kumar is popular among women voters. Accordingly, RJD has got 28 percent votes, BJP 25 percent, JDU 16 percent and Congress 7 percent. The JDU-BJP alliance is more preferred among women voters, especially because of Nitish Kumar's schemes for women. However, Tejashwi Yadav can create an atmosphere against the government on issues like unemployment and migration. Like the 2020 assembly elections, these issues can influence politics in the upcoming elections too.
