Considering the daily humanitarian crisis in the Gaza Strip, Israel has decided to halt military operations for 10 hours daily in three main areas. Bombing will be stopped from 10 AM to 8 PM in Al-Mawasi, Deir al-Balah, and Gaza City, according to the Israeli Defense Forces.
This decision-making process has been primarily undertaken with the aim of delivering aid to densely populated areas. It is evident that the increasing global pressure and severe famine in Gaza are both contributing factors behind Israel's stance. Israel has announced 'safe corridors' or safe routes, which will be open daily from 6 AM to 11 PM. The purpose is to allow food, medicine, and other essential items to be delivered to affected areas through these routes.
Due to the ongoing conflict in Gaza for the past few months, food supplies and medical services have collapsed. According to the warning issued by the United Nations, the situation of starvation has reached the fifth stage, and innocent civilians are dying every day. It has also been recorded that the mortality rate among young children is higher.
The Israeli military has also clarified that arrangements will be made to send aid to Gaza by air. Israel has recently announced that foreign organizations or countries will be allowed to deliver aid by air.
This announcement will temporarily halt military operations in some areas, but operations will continue in other parts of Gaza, it has been clarified. While Israel is implementing daily ceasefires in some areas for humanitarian aid, it has also announced safe routes and air assistance. However, the possibility of the entire conflict stopping remains uncertain.
