Speaking to the media, Munde expressed deep anguish over the incident and demanded the harshest punishment for those responsible.
“A young girl like Vaishnavi cannot simply take her own life,” Munde said. “The post-mortem report clearly shows multiple injury marks on her body. This was not a suicide. It appears she was severely beaten and then hanged. I firmly believe this was a premeditated murder.”
Munde also directed strong criticism toward Vaishnavi’s in-laws, holding them accountable and stating that they should be punished to the fullest extent of the law.
“Vaishnavi’s husband, at the very least, should be given the death penalty. Only then will others fear such actions and no other girl will meet the same fate,” she added.
