“All states, along with the central government, are working together to realize the Developed India 2047 vision. Maharashtra is fully prepared and progressing with clear goals,” said Fadnavis.
He highlighted the state’s focus on green energy, economic expansion, and long-term strategic planning. “By 2030, 52% of Maharashtra’s energy needs will be met through green sources,” he stated, adding that initiatives such as the Green Energy Generation Program, Solar Agricultural Channel Scheme, Solargram Scheme, and pumped storage projects are being effectively implemented.
36,000 MW of Green Energy Contracts Signed: Of the total 45,500 MW energy purchase agreements signed, 80% pertains to green energy.
Solar Agricultural Channel Scheme 2.0: Projects totaling 16,000 MW capacity have been initiated; 1,400 MW worth of projects are already operational.
Solargram Scheme in 100 Villages: 15 villages are now completely powered by solar energy.
Pumped Storage Projects: 15 agreements have been signed, with a cumulative capacity of 62,125 MW and an expected economic turnover of ₹3.42 lakh crore.
Fadnavis also outlined a comprehensive development strategy divided into three timelines: a short-term vision for 2029, a medium-term vision for 2035, and a long-term vision for 2047. The state government aims to expand Maharashtra’s economy to $1 trillion by 2030 and $5 trillion by 2047.
Top Destination for FDI: Maharashtra recorded the highest foreign direct investment (FDI) in India during Q1 of 2024–25, amounting to ₹1.39 lakh crore.
Major MoUs at Davos: Investment agreements worth ₹15.96 lakh crore were signed at the World Economic Forum in Davos, with 50% already in the implementation phase.

Maharashtra also tops in micro, small, and medium enterprises (MSMEs), with nearly 60 lakh MSME entrepreneurs registered. The state is actively promoting industrial growth and job creation through flagship initiatives like 'Ease of Doing Business' and the Chief Minister’s Employment Generation Programme.
As the nation charts its course towards 2047, Maharashtra appears firmly positioned to be at the forefront of India’s economic and sustainable development journey.
