According to officials, the arrest was made during a raid conducted in an open field in Kombadpada, where the accused was reportedly involved in storing and selling ganja for personal gain. Police seized a total of 3.96 kilograms of ganja, along with a mobile phone and cash, collectively valued at approximately ₹1.28 lakh.
A case has been registered against Pujari under the Narcotic Drugs and Psychotropic Substances (NDPS) Act at the Nizampur Police Station. Following his arrest, he was produced in court.
