In his statement, Defence Minister Singh highlighted the scale and strategic success of the operation.
“Terrorist bases in PoK and Pakistan have been destroyed. Operation Sindoor is ongoing. A large number of terrorists have been neutralized. The Indian Army has demonstrated unparalleled bravery. The mission was carried out with remarkable precision,” he said.
His remarks came as Indian forces launched Phase II of Operation Sindoor, targeting air defence systems and key military installations inside Pakistan, following the deadly April 22 terror attack in Pahalgam.
According to official sources, the operation involved coordinated strikes by the Army, Air Force, and Navy, utilizing advanced drones, stand-off weapons, and long-range missiles. The successful neutralization of multiple terrorist infrastructure points reflects the enhanced preparedness and intelligence capabilities of India’s defence forces.
Operation Sindoor has sent a strong message that India will not tolerate terrorism on its soil. The government's firm stance and swift retaliation have been praised both domestically and internationally, positioning India as a nation ready to defend its sovereignty at any cost.
Defence officials continue to monitor the situation, with further updates expected as the operation progresses.
