(Himachal Rain) The rain in Himachal has caused a lot of havoc. Due to this rain, cloudbursts, landslides, and sudden floods have disrupted life. Officials have reported that the state has suffered a loss of 4,079 crores due to the disasters over the past three months.
It is reported that 366 people have died in accidents and incidents caused by the rain. Roads were blocked due to landslides, bridges were washed away, and villages were cut off due to river flooding. Many houses were destroyed, and farmers' crops were washed away. It is reported that there has been massive damage due to the heavy rain.
This has also had a significant impact on traffic. There were queues of vehicles on national highways, and some routes were completely blocked. Due to cloudburst incidents, some villages are on the verge of being destroyed. Along with Himachal, the neighboring state of Punjab has also been severely affected by the rain. Flood situations have arisen in many districts there. Meanwhile, the Punjab government has decided to reopen schools and colleges that were closed due to the flood from September 8.
