A Maharashtra Navnirman Sena (MNS) worker has allegedly threatened advocate Gunaratna Sadavarte over the phone, following his recent complaint against MNS president Raj Thackeray. An audio clip of the conversation, in which the threat was made, has gone viral on social media, sparking controversy and concern.
According to sources, the MNS worker questioned Sadavarte over his remarks about Raj Thackeray, asking, “How can you make a wrong statement about Raj Thackeray?” When Sadavarte did not respond to the question, the activist reportedly escalated the situation with a direct threat: “If your house is attacked tomorrow, you will be responsible for it.”
In addition to the verbal threat, the activist also allegedly warned of an attack on Sadavarte’s vehicle. The threatening call has triggered outrage in both political and legal circles, with many calling for a thorough investigation.
While the audio clip continues to circulate widely online, Lokshahi Marathi has not officially verified its authenticity.
The incident has raised serious concerns about the safety of legal professionals and the growing trend of intimidation in political discourse. Authorities are expected to initiate an investigation into the matter.
