Samsung has expanded its popular M-series lineup with the launch of the Samsung Galaxy M36 5G in India. Packed with premium features like a 120Hz Super AMOLED display, AI tools, and a powerful Exynos chipset, the Galaxy M36 5G is being positioned as a strong contender in the mid-range smartphone market.
The smartphone features a 6.7-inch Full HD+ Super AMOLED display with a 120Hz refresh rate and Gorilla Glass Victus+ protection. Unlike its predecessor—the Galaxy M35 5G—the M36 adopts a waterdrop notch design instead of a punch-hole cutout for the front camera, offering a refreshed visual experience.
Under the hood, the device is powered by the Exynos 1380 processor, coupled with 6GB of RAM and 128GB of internal storage. The camera setup includes a 50MP OIS main sensor, an 8MP ultra-wide lens, and a 2MP macro camera. On the front, a 13MP selfie camera has been provided.
The phone is backed by a 5000mAh battery with support for 25W fast wired charging. It runs on OneUI 7, based on Android 15, and Samsung promises six years of OS updates, making it a future-ready device.
The Galaxy M36 5G is equipped with a host of AI features to enhance user experience, including:
Google Gemini
Circle to Search
Gemini Live
Object Eraser
Image Clipper
Edit Suggestions
AI Depth Map
AI Select
These features aim to simplify photo editing, boost visual search capabilities, and deliver a smarter user interface.
The 6GB RAM + 128GB storage variant of the Galaxy M36 5G is priced at ₹22,999. However, as part of the launch offer, select credit card users can purchase it for ₹16,499. The smartphone will be available in three colors — Orange Haze, Serene Green, and Velvet Black — starting July 12, 2025, via Samsung India's official website and Amazon.
With its premium features and AI-powered tools, the Samsung Galaxy M36 5G is shaping up to be a compelling option in the ₹20,000–₹25,000 price range for Indian consumers.
