Shiv Sena MLA Arjun Khotkar and his son Abhimanyu Khotkar have received death threats on social media. A case has been registered at the Taluka Police Station in this regard, and investigation has revealed that the act was committed by a 13-year-old minor boy.
A reel titled 'Miss You King' was created and posted from a fake Instagram ID. In this reel, MLAs Arjun Khotkar and Abhimanyu Khotkar were abused in obscene language. Not only this, they were also threatened with being shot dead.
After such defamatory and threatening content was circulated on social media, Abhimanyu Khotkar filed a complaint at the Taluka Police Station on Thursday night. After his complaint, a case was registered against an unknown person. An investigation was started under the guidance of Superintendent of Police Ajay Kumar Bansal and Additional Superintendent of Police Ayush Nopani. During the investigation, a shocking thing came to light – this threatening reel was prepared by a 13-year-old minor. The police detained the boy and interrogated him. After interrogation, he was handed over to his parents. Along with this, the police have also given a proper explanation to the parents.
Reacting to this incident, MLA Arjun Khotkar said, “Threats were being made on Instagram for a week. We had revealed some things about IPL betting, matka and land transactions. That is why this act may have happened. But we are not afraid of such threats. We will continue to do our work firmly.”
