The Supreme Court on July 25 refused to extend the stay on the film 'Udaipur Files: Kanhaiya Lal Tailor Murder' and has referred the matter back to the Delhi High Court. The film's producer Amit Jani said, "The Supreme Court has stated what was expected and what was right, we welcome this decision."

Meanwhile, the film director Bharat Shrinath said, "We wanted to release this film in theaters on July 11. However, now there is some relief that the film can be released on August 8. Truth always wins and truth stands tall."

'Udaipur Files', a Hindi film based on the true incident of the Kanhaiyalal Sahu murder case in Udaipur, Rajasthan, was set to be released on July 11. However, a petition was filed in the Supreme Court demanding a ban on the film's release. The court dismissed this petition. Actor Vijay Raaz plays a central role in this film produced by Amit Jani.

Mohammad Javed, the accused in the Kanhaiyalal murder case that occurred in Udaipur, had filed the petition against the film. It was stated that if the film is released while the case is still sub judice, it could affect impartial justice. However, after hearing the arguments, the court advised, "You should present this matter to the concerned lower court," and refused to conduct an urgent hearing. The court also clearly stated, "Let the film be released."
