Renowned YouTuber and podcaster Ranveer Allahabadia has received a major relief from the Supreme Court. The court has ordered the return of his passport and also lifted the ban on foreign travel imposed on him. This has now cleared the way for Ranveer to travel abroad for his podcast work.

A bench of Justice Suryakant and Justice N. K. Singh of the Supreme Court gave this important decision on Monday. Allahabadia had been facing various criminal cases across the country due to his alleged controversial statements made on the YouTube show 'India's Got Talent'. His passport was seized during the investigation of these cases.

Earlier, in the hearing held on April 1, Allahabadia's lawyer Abhinya Chandrachud had argued that constant travel was essential for his podcast business. He had pointed out to the court that restrictions on foreign travel were adversely affecting his livelihood.

The Maharashtra and Assam governments informed the court that the details of the relevant FIRs have been completed. The court then allowed Allahabadia to apply to the Maharashtra Cyber Crime Department and obtain a passport. It also lifted the travel ban imposed on him. The Supreme Court made it clear that if the police call him for questioning during the investigation process, it will be mandatory for him to cooperate with them.
