A day after the historic Marathi Vijay Din rally, Mumbai’s political landscape witnessed a symbolic expression of unity as banners featuring two generations of the Thackeray family were prominently displayed in front of the iconic Sena Bhavan in Dadar.

The banners—bearing the slogan “Aaj Dussehra, Aaj Diwali” (“Today is Dussehra, today is Diwali”)—capture the renewed spirit of camaraderie and celebration among party workers. The posters showcase powerful images of Balasaheb Thackeray, Uddhav Thackeray, Raj Thackeray, and the younger generation, Amit Thackeray and Aditya Thackeray, symbolizing a hopeful new chapter in Maharashtra politics.

The emotional impact of yesterday’s rally, where Uddhav and Raj Thackeray shared the stage and delivered stirring speeches, was visibly carried into today’s developments. Party cadres from Shiv Sena (UBT) and MNS—historically divided—are now seen celebrating together in front of the Sena Bhavan, energizing the party base and sparking speculation about potential political realignments.

Prior to the rally, several posters across Mumbai had expressed the hope that the Thackeray brothers would reunite in time for Marathi Vijay Din. With that hope now realized, the atmosphere among party workers is one of celebration and renewed unity.

This public display of solidarity, particularly at the symbolic heart of Shiv Sena—Sena Bhavan—has sent a strong message of reconciliation and reinvention. With political momentum building, all eyes are now on the Thackeray family’s next move as Maharashtra braces for possible shifts in the state’s political equations.
