(Zubeen Garg Death) Zubeen Garg took his last breath while scuba diving in Singapore. However, the cause of his death remains a mystery, raising many questions. Against this backdrop, the Assam Police's Special Investigation Team (SIT) on Thursday arrested musician Shekhar Jyoti Goswami in connection with the investigation into singer Zubeen Garg's death. It is understood that Goswami was present with him during Zubeen's trip to Singapore.

Zubeen Garg's death occurred on September 19 in Singapore. He had gone there for the North-East India Festival. After the festival ended, he drowned while swimming in the sea with friends. Despite receiving immediate medical assistance, his life could not be saved.

Goswami was initially taken into custody for questioning. Subsequently, the SIT arrested him. However, the exact charges against him have not been officially clarified. According to media reports, Goswami was a close associate of Zubin and worked as a drummer in the band.

As part of this investigation, the SIT also conducted a search operation at the residences of festival organizer Shyamkanu Mahanta and Zubin's manager Siddharth Sharma. Only domestic staff were found at Mahanta's home, while Sharma's house was searched after breaking the lock. Local residents reported that Sharma's family has not been seen since Zubin's death.

The investigation of this case is being conducted by a ten-member SIT led by Special DGP M.P. Gupta. Intense emotions are being expressed in the state as well as in Northeast India due to this incident, and there is a large demand for justice from the fans.
