Tata Punch EV Facelift to be launched in India; First time with 500 km range and advanced tech features

Tata Motors, which has established a strong presence in the Indian electric vehicle market, is soon going to launch the upgraded facelift model of its most popular micro SUV, 'Tata Punch EV'. Due to increasing competition and rising customer expectations, the company has made significant changes in the battery, range, interior, and exterior of this car. According to reports, this new car is likely to be launched in the Indian market on February 20, 2026, which will bring a significant change in the list of EV buyers.

The biggest improvement in the new Punch EV is in the battery pack, which will have a capacity of 45 kWh like the Tata Nexon EV. This will give the car a range of 489 to 500 kilometers on a single charge, which will be excellent for city and long-distance travel. The engine will generate 145 bhp power and 215 Nm torque, which is expected to perform well on the highway as well.

The interiors have now become more luxurious and high-tech, with a large 12.3-inch touchscreen infotainment system, Harman Kardon premium sound system, new seat upholstery, panoramic sunroof, and modern dashboard, doubling the joy of travel. The exterior will give the car a stylish look with a new front grille, redesigned bumper, connected LED DRLs, tail lamps, and fresh alloy wheels, although the body dimensions will remain the same as before.

At launch, the price of the smart variant will start from 9.99 lakh rupees (ex-showroom), while high-end models will be available at a slightly higher price. After Tata Punch EV, the company is also focusing on the 'Sierra EV' and premium 'Avinya' brand, taking the lead in the EV market with features like ultra-fast charging and next-generation ADAS. There is no doubt that this car will create a new sensation in the EV market.
