A New Chapter in Army Recruitment; Path Open for Technical Agniveer for Skill-Based Youth

Agniveer Recruitment 2026: Good news for young people who have received vocational training. Special recognition has now been given to skill-based courses in the Agniveer recruitment conducted under the Indian Armed Forces. From the 2027 academic year, students who have completed certain selected courses will have the opportunity to become Technical Agniveers.

According to the new policy, education is divided into two stages – at the 11th-12th grade level, subjects like web technology, electrical, and electronics are included. At the degree level, branches like software development and renewable energy will be prioritized.

Applicants must have obtained at least 50% marks in the relevant course and possess basic knowledge of mathematics and physics. This is considered an effort to prepare a generation with technical skills for modern warfare, cyber security, and data management. Therefore, the doors to careers in the defense sector have become more open for students pursuing skill-based education along with traditional education.
