Ajit Pawar On Ladki Bahin Yojana: Loan for women unveiled under Ladki Bahin scheme; Ajit Pawar gave information
In a significant development regarding the Maharashtra government’s ambitious Ladki Bahin Yojana, Deputy Chief Minister Ajit Pawar has revealed that discussions are underway to extend business loans to women beneficiaries of the scheme.
The Ladki Bahin Yojana currently provides a monthly financial assistance of ₹1,500, directly deposited into the bank accounts of eligible women. The state government now aims to empower these women further by helping them start small-scale industries, using the scheme as a guarantee for loan approvals.
Speaking on Sunday, Ajit Pawar stated that talks are in progress with select banks to facilitate loans in the range of ₹30,000 to ₹40,000 for women who wish to start their own businesses. He added that these loans would be provided by the same banks where the monthly subsidy is deposited.
Importantly, Pawar clarified that loan installments would be automatically deducted from the grant amount, making the repayment process easier and more manageable for the beneficiaries. The initiative is seen as a move to enhance women’s financial independence and promote entrepreneurship at the grassroots level.
