The Employees' Provident Fund Organization has started crediting interest at the rate of 8.25 for the account holders in the financial year 2024-25. However, if some account holders have not yet received the money in their PF account, there is no need to worry. EPFO credits interest every year, so it may take some time for the interest to be credited. Since the interest is credited to the account holders' accounts after a thorough check of the account, it may take some time for these things. Therefore, if the interest has not been credited to your PF (EPF) account, please verify a few things.
You can visit your nearest office and contact the relevant officials or file a complaint on EPFO's customer service portal. Additionally, you can contact EPFO's toll-free number or the nearest EPFO office.
Check if your Aadhaar, PAN, and bank account are correctly linked and verified on the EPFO portal.
Check if interest has been credited to your passbook using the EPFO member portal or the Umang app. Check the latest updates of the passbook.
File a complaint on EPFO's official complaint portal [https://epfigms.gov.in]. Contact EPFO helpline's toll-free number (14470). Or visit your nearest EPFO office.
EPFO has started the process of crediting interest, so it is likely that interest will be credited to your account in a few days.
Inform the relevant officer about your issue. If necessary, take your UAN number and identification and directly visit the nearest EPFO office.
EPFO credits interest annually, so it may take some time for the interest to be credited. You are not eligible to receive interest in an account that has been inactive for more than 3 years, or if you have changed jobs and not transferred your account, then you will receive interest on your old account only for 3 years. You can check the balance and interest information in your account by visiting the EPFO website or using the Umang app.
