Ola Electric Scooter: Significant decline in sales this year compared to last year
Ola Electric Scooter, which has been the number one electric two-wheeler seller in India for the past few years, has seen a rapid decline in demand, according to this year's report. According to the sales report released in March 2025, Ola Electric Scooter sales have declined by 56 percent, indicating that customers have turned their backs on Ola Scooter. However, the company has stated that this decline is due to paperwork confusion. On the other hand, electric scooter sales of companies like Bajaj Auto and TVS Motor have increased by 14 percent.
Ola company gave 'these' reasons
According to the sales report released in March 2025, 23,430 Ola electric scooters were sold, which is a 56 percent decrease compared to last year. The company has given some reasons for this. In February, the company itself started registering its vehicles. Due to this, there was confusion in the sales figures. Earlier, this work was done by third-party service providers. This work was entrusted to two companies, namely Rosemarta Digital Services Private Limited and Shimnit India Private Limited. In February, the registration work was once again entrusted to these companies, which led to confusion in the registration work. Due to this, there was a discrepancy in the registration figures on the portal.
Ola Electric increases production
The company has reopened registrations for February and March. The company said that this work will be completed by April. Ola Electric has started selling its Generation 3 portfolio and is getting good response from customers, he said. He has increased the production of its new vehicles. He said that he will increase production in April as well to increase its sales capacity and good customer response.
