Share Market: Indian stock market crashes! Investors lose Rs 3 lakh crore
The Indian stock market was in turmoil on the first day of the week in the backdrop of the Iran-Israel war. The impact of global tensions was seen on the Indian stock market. The market's main index Sensex fell by 759.07 points to 81,649. Investors have lost more than 3 lakh crores in 30 minutes. Shares of 25 out of 30 Sensex companies fell. At the same time, only 5 companies saw a slight rise.
The Nifty 50 opened at 24,939.75 against its closing price of 25,112.04 and was trading at a low of 24,891, down nearly 1 percent. The ongoing war between Russia and Israel has been affecting the market for the past 10 days. Tensions have increased further due to the US's entry into the war, which is putting pressure on the Indian market today. The BSE market has fallen by nearly Rs 3.3 lakh crore.
The stock market witnessed a big rally on Friday, June 20. The Sensex rose 1046 points to close at 82,408 and the Nifty rose 319 points to close at 25,112. Out of the 30 stocks in the Sensex, 27 advanced, while 3 fell.
