Chhatrapati Sambhajinagar Tragedy: Businessman's Final Words to His Daughter
A heartbreaking incident took place in Chhatrapati Sambhajinagar city on Sunday midnight. It is suspected that 45-year-old finance professional Sumesh Suresh Mahajan committed suicide by jumping from the fifth floor of his office. Mahajan's office is in the Sutgirni Chowk area, and this case is not just the suicide of a businessman, but also paints an emotional picture of a father's anguish and immense love for his daughter.
Sumesh Mahajan had written a note for his beloved daughter before committing suicide. In it, he expressed his feelings in very emotional words. “You are my beloved daughter. Understand me for this decision. I am tired of facing all the difficulties. Son, move forward with confidence. Promise me that you will study well and become an officer. Take care of your mother. We will meet again soon... Thank you.” He had written this message.
On Sunday afternoon, Sumesh had lunch at home and went to the office as usual. He worked till night. However, Sumesh, who usually returns home by 10 pm, did not return even by 12 noon, so his family members became worried. Around 1 am, his family members rushed to the office. After searching there, Sumesh was found under the building in a seriously injured condition. He was immediately taken to the hospital, but the doctors declared him dead.
Before this incident, Sumesh had called his daughter at 9 pm to question her. Then his wife called at 11 pm, but there was no response. Mahajan's car was parked under the building, and his mobile phone, keys and the note were also found in his office.
According to the preliminary investigation of the police, the suicide is likely to have been caused by personal tension. A thorough investigation is underway to ascertain the reasons behind his decision. Inspector Krishna Shinde of Pundaliknagar Police Station and his team have visited the spot and will conduct a forensic examination of the handwriting on the note. CCTV footage, call records and financial transactions in the office are also being examined.
Sumesh Mahajan is survived by his teacher wife, two daughters and mother. This incident has brought grief to the family, while the area is expressing grief.
