Pune Daund: Bride's feat! Shocking incident of giving groom's betel nut instead of breaking the wedding betel nut
Marriage is a sacred ritual that two people perform to start their new relationship. However, nowadays, disputes between these married couples over some trivial reasons take an extreme turn, in which they are seen fighting for the life of their spouses. One such shocking incident has taken place in Khamgaon in Daund taluka of Pune. Not liking her future husband, the wife tried to kill him by giving a betel nut of Rs. 1.5 lakh to the goons.
What is the real issue?
Sagar Kadam, the son-in-law, is a cook in a hotel, and Sagar and Mayuri Dandage were to get married, but Mayuri did not like her future husband, Sagar Kadam, so she gave Sagar a betel nut of one and a half lakh rupees to kill him. The people to whom she had given the betel nut invited Sagar to Mayuri's maternal uncle's house in Khamgaon Phata to watch a movie.
After Sagar went there, he was threatened that "if you marry Mayuri, I will show you", and then Sagar was beaten with a wooden stick. After this, Sagar filed a case at the Yavat police station and later, after taking five accused in this case into custody, when he was questioned further, it came to light that Mayuri, i.e. the bride's daughter, had hatched the entire conspiracy. Five of these accused have been arrested and the future bride Mayuri is still absconding.
