Delhi High Court sends notice of 2 crore fine to a r rahman what exactly is the matter?

The case has been filed regarding the song 'Veera Raja Veera' from the Tamil film 'Ponniyin Selvan 2'.

Famous music composer and singer A.R. Rahman is currently in trouble. Recently, an important news has come out about him. He has been accused of copying the song 'Shiv Stuti' composed by the father and uncle of famous classical singer Ustad Faiyazuddin Wasifuddin Dagar.

Along with this, the Delhi High Court is said to have directed the singer to deposit Rs 2 crore. The case has been filed regarding the song 'Veera Raja Veera' from the Tamil film 'Ponniyin Selvan 2'. They alleged that the tune and sentiment of the song were copied from 'Shiv Stuti', but no credit was given to the Dagar family.

While hearing the petition, the court said that 'Veer Raja Veera' is not only inspired by 'Shiv Stuti' but is a modified version of its composition. Justice Pratibha M. Singh clearly said that the song has used a classical composition. But its real composers have not been given credit or any acknowledgement has been taken. The court also directed that it will be mandatory to give credit to the Dagar brothers on all digital platforms of the song and the film.
