Jayant Narlikar Gets Vigyan Ratna Award : Jayant Narlikar Honored Posthumously with 'Vigyan Ratna' National Science Award

The late astronomer Jayant Narlikar has been posthumously announced as the recipient of the 'Vigyan Ratna' award. The national science awards given by the central government were announced on Saturday. These include eight 'Vigyan Shri', 14 'Vigyan Yuva', and one 'Vigyan Sangh' award along with the 'Vigyan Ratna'. Modeled after the Padma awards, the national science awards are the highest science awards in the country, and this is the second year of the awards.
