Ameesha Patel: Non-bailable warrant against Ameesha Patel in cheque bounce case; actress claims settlement
Actress Ameesha Patel's troubles have increased in the check bounce case in Moradabad. According to media reports, a non-bailable warrant has been issued against her by the court in a financial dispute related to an event in 2017. However, the actress claims that this matter is old and has already been resolved.
In this context, Ameesha Patel reacted on social media, clarifying that a settlement had been reached years ago with organizer Pawan Verma in Moradabad. According to her, the entire amount was paid by signing the settlement letter. Yet, she has alleged that false accusations are being made to reopen the case. She also mentioned that she will take action against the concerned parties for fraud through her lawyers.
This case is related to an event at a wedding ceremony held in Moradabad on November 16, 2017. According to the complaint by organizer Pawan Verma, Amisha Patel was paid an advance of 14.50 lakh rupees for the event. However, she did not attend the event. It is said that after discussions, 10 lakh rupees were returned in cash, while the given cheque for the remaining 4.50 lakh rupees was dishonored, it is alleged.
Despite repeated summons from the court, as she did not appear, the Additional Civil Judge (Junior Division) Court of Moradabad issued a non-bailable warrant for her appearance. The next hearing of this case is scheduled for March 27.
